Our History

EAFI Fribourg & Partners was created to meet a need: independent advice, and with a goal: a prudent profitability that the founding partners have demonstrated over the last 30 years within the Corfri group (www.corfri.com)

What is an EAF?

Financial Advisory Companies (EAF) are individuals or legal entities that provide investment advisory services, understood as providing personalized recommendations to clients on financial instruments and advice on ancillary matters such as capital structuring, industrial strategy, and other services related to mergers and acquisitions.

Like any Investment Service Company, operating under the umbrella of the Securities Market Law, EAFs must have technical and human resources to meet their obligations and assume their responsibilities.

The rigorous control exercised by the National Securities Market Commission in defense of the client is endorsed by the obligation of EAFs to have a customer service department or service and a Regulation for Customer Defense.

EAFs are born with the objective of deepening specialization and professionalization of advisory activity. It is an activity compatible with that of any private banking but exclusive in terms of advisory as neither intermediation nor custody is possible. These conditions allow developing the activity in an environment of greater transparency in the collection and origin of income, and greater agility and flexibility for the transmission of knowledge, and therefore, added value.

EAFs are companies regulated by the Securities Market Law, by RD 217/2008 on the legal regime of investment service companies, and by CNMV Circular 10/2008, which provides statistical information and key figures for EAFs.

The Investor Assistance Office of the National Securities Market Commission offers a guide to Financial Advisory Companies, whose objective is to inform the general public about what EAFs are, what services they offer, how they should act, or what expenses the financial advisory service entails.
